About ktplatform

A nationwide health-screening companion built for every county in Kenya.

Our Mission

Too many Kenyans delay care because it's not clear whether a symptom is an emergency, needs a clinic visit, or will resolve with rest. ktplatform Triage closes that gap — a free, mobile-first screening tool that matches symptoms against 50+ common diseases, flags red-flag signs, and routes users to the nearest appropriate Level 2–6 facility.

How it Works

  1. You pick symptoms from a curated list, add duration and severity.
  2. Our matching engine weighs symptoms against the disease catalogue and red-flag rules to produce an urgency tier: emergency, soon, within-week, self-care.
  3. You see top matches with prevention and self-care guidance — plus a one-tap list of the closest facilities filtered by your county.
  4. Anonymised triage sessions help us spot outbreak patterns early.

Important Disclaimer

ktplatform Triage is a screening tool, not a diagnostic service. It does not replace evaluation by a licensed clinician. In any emergency — severe bleeding, chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness — call 999 or go to the nearest Level 4/5/6 facility immediately.

Platform

ktplatform Triage is part of the broader ktplatform platform. It runs on Firebase Realtime Database, uses a custom symptom-matching engine, and ships with a dedicated admin CLI (kt-admin) for content management, outbreak tracking, analytics, and site-health monitoring.
